The plight in Mozambique and Zimbabwe

We would like to express our concern and deepest sympathy for the plight of the people of Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Malawi, many of whom have lost their lives, been injured and left homeless in the wake of Cyclone Idai. A large number of the victims are living in the Zambezi basin, one of DAFNE’s two case study regions. In particular, our thoughts are with our UEM partners in Mozambique, whom we hope are all safe, as well as the project stakeholders in Tete province, southern Malawi and the vicinity of Harari who are affected.
